Who is Entitled to Grant Support for Insulation?
Answer: EVERYONE!
We are all entitled to a warmer house and lower fuel bills this winter thanks to government funded insulation grants. Everyone can expect 45% to 75% grant funding towards insulating their homes. However, if you receive benefits or tax credits then you could receive 100% grant meaning you can insulate your home for free!
If you are the main housholder and receive any of the benefits below, then you may be entitled to free insulation:
- Working Tax Credit (with income less than £15,460 + Disability premium)
- Child Tax Credit (with income less than £15,460)
- Attendance Allowance
- Disability Living Allowance
- Income Support (+Disability Premium)
- Housing Benefit (+ Disability Premium)
- Council Tax Benefit ( + Disability Premium)
- War Disablement Pension (inc Mobility supplement or Constant Attendance Allowance)
- Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefits (inc Constant Attendance Allowance)
Or if you have a child under the age of 16 and recieve any of the following benefits:
- Income Support
- Housing Benefit
- Council Tax Benefit
- Income Based Jobseekers Allowance
- Pension Credit
Or if you are over 60 and recieve:
- Housing Benefit
- Council Tax Benefit
- Income Based Jobseekers Allowance
- Pension Credit
